Sync Offline Time Entries

When you go back online and then log into the application, Costpoint Mobile T&E prompts you to sync or discard offline timesheet data through the Sync Records screen.

To sync offline time entries:

  1. Tap Costpoint to launch the Costpoint Mobile T&E application.
  2. Depending on your setup, log into the application using your PIN, biometric, or third-party authentication login credentials.

  3. On the Sync Records screen, tap Sync Offline Data.
    Note: If the Sync Records screen displays conflict in sync data, proceed to step 4. Otherwise, proceed to step 5.

  4. If there are conflicts in your sync data, tap one of the following options:
    • Commit the Cells from Offline: Tap this button to use the hours entered for a specific date while offline.
    • Discard the Cells from Offline: Tap this button to use the hours entered for a specific date while online and ignore the hours entered while offline.
    • Combine the Cells: Tap this button to combine hours entered for a specific date while online and offline.
    Note: If you make changes to a timesheet period when offline, the Revision Explanation screen displays. Proceed to step 5. Otherwise, proceed to step 6.

  5. On the Revision Explanation screen, enter or search for the revision explanation code or enter a note to explain the revision made, and tap Done.

  6. When the sync completes, the Sync Records screen displays the completed timesheet periods. Tap Done to return to the Timesheet screen.
