Labor Subtask

Use this subtask of the View General Ledger Activity screen to view transaction information related to labor for the selected row. Although it displays information for all transactions for the selected row, only the labor transactions have labor categories and other timesheet information.

This subtask is useful if you have T & M contracts where the labor component is missing, since it provides a way to see if labor was posted to the correct period, project, account, or PLC (Project Labor Category).

Field Description
FY

This non-editable field displays the fiscal year from the row on the main screen for which you are viewing labor information.

Account

This non-editable field displays the number of the selected account from the row for which you are viewing labor information.

Org

This non-editable field displays the number of the selected organization from the row for which you are viewing labor information.

YTD Balance

This non-editable field displays the year-to-date balance from the row for which you are viewing labor information.

Total Hours

This field displays the total for the Hours column in the table window,

Total Amount

This field displays the total for the Amount column in the table window.

Field Description
Pd

This field displays the periods included within the selected row from the main screen.

Journal

This field displays the type of journal posted. such as LD (Post Labor Distribution), APV (Post Vouchers), or AJE (Post JEs).

Project

This field displays the project to which the transaction was posted for the selected row.

Transaction Description

This field displays the transaction description from the source transaction entry.

Vendor Name

This field displays the vendor or vendor employee name entered on the source transaction entry

Amount

This field displays the amount posted for this transaction, expressed in your company's functional currency.

Employee Name

This field displays the employee name entered on the source labor entry.

Hours

This field displays the hours for each labor transaction.

GLC

This column displays the GLC (General Labor Category) used in each labor transaction.

PLC

This column displays the PLC (Project Labor Category) used in each labor transaction.

Effective Bill Date

This column displays the effective bill date, which defaults as the last day of the subperiod entered on the original transaction.

Timesheet Date

This column displays the timesheet date. If the transaction is not from timesheet entry, this field is blank.

Voucher

This column displays the voucher number (if applicable).

JE

This column displays the journal entry number (if applicable).

Posting User

This column displays the user ID of the person who posted the transaction.

Entry User

This column displays the user ID of the person who entered the transaction.

Transaction Comments

This column displays any notes entered with the transaction.
