Edit 1099 Correction Information

Use this screen to view, edit, add, delete, and accept correcting information for previously created 1099 records.

Note: For Costpoint Cloud, you can choose to opt in to this feature for the Costpoint 2025.2 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all users as part of a future Costpoint release. See the Manage Opt-In Features topic for more information.

Costpoint retrieves correcting information from the VEND_1099C and VEND_1099C_STATE tables and updates those tables with any modifications you make here. You can use this screen to enter or modify the Taxable Amount, Address Code, and Foreign Address for existing correction records. However, if you add new correcting information, you must also select a Pay Vendor, Cash Organization, and 1099 Type.

Use to select a taxable entity. After you select a taxable entity, the Pay Vendor Summary Information table window populates with all the appropriate 1099 information.

Because this screen is available only by querying the above-mentioned tables, you must have already created correcting 1099 information on the Create 1099 Information screen. After correcting information is created, use this screen to edit it as many times as necessary.

When you finish making changes, you can then print the 1099 Correction Edit Report as a final check on your correction information. Make sure that you complete all edits before you print forms or create a magnetic media file for the corrections.

Once the correction information is final, use the Print/Create 1099s and Magnetic Media screen to produce 1099 printed forms or magnetic media files.

After you have printed forms or created the magnetic media file, use this screen to accept the correction records and disable them from further modifications.

To accept corrections, select the records in the Edit 1099 Correction Information Detail table window and click Accept Corrections in the drop-down list of the Default Action button. This finalizes the correction information, saves it to the VEND_1099 and VEND_1099_STATE tables, and marks the Accepted checkbox for the record.
