Dela Tab
This tab provides settings related to Dela, Deltek's AI, in Costpoint and MS Teams.
Settings
These settings control Dela behavior and integration with Costpoint. Use these options to manage chat history and define how Dela interacts with Microsoft Teams.

| Clear Ask Dela chat history on logout | Select this checkbox to delete the chat history when a user logs out of Costpoint. |
| Disable Dela for MS Team integration | Select this checkbox to restrict the use of Dela (Deltek AI) to the Costpoint UI only. This setting allows you to disable AI interactions with Costpoint while still using MS Teams for notifications. |
Dela MCP Server Connection
AI clients can connect to Dela as an MCP server to use Dela’s capabilities within Costpoint. This section displays Dela MCP server connection information.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Specifies whether the MCP server connection is active. When selected, the connection is available for use. When cleared, the connection is disabled and cannot be used. |
| Custom Description | Displays the user-defined description of the MCP server connection. This value helps you identify the connection and cannot be modified. |
| MCP URI | Displays the endpoint URI for the MCP server. This value determines where requests are sent for MCP services. |
| Auth | Displays the authentication method used for the MCP server connection. |

Dela Help Content Links Subtask
Use this subtask to provide the locations of documents that Ask Dela can reference when responding to inquiries related to the content in the documentation. Additionally, Ask Dela will provide a content link to the documentation in its responses. Supported file formats are PDF, DOC, DOCX, and HTML.
Restrict to Specific Users / User Groups Subtask
When Dela is enabled initially, it is enabled for all users. Use this subtask to designate access to specific users and user groups, which can be helpful if you want to test and evaluate the feature before enabling for all users. When specific users or groups are selected, access to Dela is limited to those specified.
Use the Trusted MCP Clients subtask to enable third-party AI clients to connect to Ask Dela, authenticate users, and route user questions to Dela for responses.
