Substitute Parts Subtask

Use the Substitute Parts subtask to view substitute parts to be used for a selected manufacturing order.

Field	Description
Manufacturing Order ID	This column displays the manufacturing order ID from the main screen.
MO Status	This column displays the MO Status as Planned, Firm Planned, Released, In-Shop, Completed, or Closed.
Build Part	This field displays the part ID for which the MO was created.
Rev	This field displays the revision ID for the build part.
Build Quantity	This field displays the quantity of the part being built with this MO.
Line	This field displays the part line number.
Find No	This field displays the part find number.
Component Part	This field displays the part ID of the material requirement.
Rev	This field displays the part revision of the material issued.
Description	This field displays the description of the part revision.
U/M	This field displays the unit of measure of the selected part.

Table Window

Field	Description
Sequence	This field indicates the order of preference for using the part as a substitute, in cases where there are multiple substitute parts.
Substitute Type	This field displays the substitute type that can be exchanged for the selected part.
Substitute Part	This field displays the substitute part that can be exchanged for the selected part.
Rev	This field displays the revision level of the substitute part.
Description	This field displays the description of the substitute part.
Part Security	This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the part is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the part you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that part: Unrestricted: The part is not subject to data security restrictions. Restricted: The part is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information. ***UNAUTHORIZED***: The part is subject to data security restrictions and that you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color. If you are unauthorized to access parts that are subject to data security restrictions, then you will not be able to create or edit purchase order lines for that restricted part. Note: The features in this release relating to Part Data Security are intended to assist your company in achieving ITAR compliance. However, it is each company’s responsibility to confirm that it is meeting its obligations with respect to ITAR or other applicable requirements. Deltek does not warrant that use of this functionality will result in compliance.
U/M	This field displays the unit of measure of the selected part.
Status	The field displays the status of the selected part.
Inventory Abbreviation	The field displays the inventory abbreviation of the selected part.
Project	This field displays the project ID of the selected part.
Net Avail Qty	This field displays the net available quantity of the selected part.
Current Avail Qty	This field displays the current available quantity of the selected part.
Add to MO Requirements	Click this button to add the selected part to MO requirements.
