  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Material Requirements Planning

Use Costpoint Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to set up, run, and analyze the results of the MRP process.

It is a time-phased planning tool that compares demands to current inventory and existing orders and generates planned orders and messages to facilitate user action. MRP keeps track of independent demand (from Sales Orders, Inventory Requests, and Inventory Reservations) along with dependent demand (based on Bills of Material) and determines quantities and due dates for purchasing or manufacturing the required parts. You can use this module to view and maintain the detailed parts schedule and to take action based on system-generated messages. You can generate purchase requisitions, manufacturing orders, and transfer reservations from planned orders generated from the MRP process. You can use the reports and inquiries to review requirements and inventory status by project, part, or netting group.
