Recalculation Subtask

Use the Recalculation subtask to recalculate the values of the Manage Compensation Plan Salary Ranges screen if you selected the Min-Mid-Max or Quartile plan type in the Manage Compensation Plans screen.

The values of each column are recalculated based on the factor that you enter in this screen.

Note: Use this subtask only to change compensation plans that you are initially setting up. If you use this subtask on an established compensation plan, then there is no history of the salary ranges that were contained in the original Manage Compensation Plan Salary Ranges screen. If you want to recalculate the salary ranges of an existing plan, Deltek recommends that you Clone the existing compensation plan and establish new effective dates before proceeding with the Recalculation subtask. Also, if you recalculate an existing compensation plan without changing the effective dates, the Update Employees for Compensation Plan Changes process does not recognize the changes and cannot be used to update the employee's Manage Employee Salary Information screen.

Field Description
Start At Row Position (1st row is one)

Enter the row with which you want to start recalculating salary ranges. Enter 1 to start at the top row of the table and to include all lower rows. Enter 2 to start at the second row and to include all lower rows, and so on.

Enter Recalculation Percent

Enter the percentage with which you want the selected rows to be recalculated. For example, to increase the salary table by 5%, enter 105%; to decrease the salary table by 5%, enter 95%.
