Costpoint Analytics can display revenue by organization (org) or reorganization (reorg). Orgs and reorgs are set up in the Costpoint application.
Your security rights determine the orgs and reorgs that are available for use.
An Organization is a standard business grouping.
A Reorganization is a non-standard organization grouping that is used to provide a different view of the organizational structure. A reorg is useful when, for example, a Revenue Analytics user wants to display revenue by a new group, such as a region.
The type of organization that you select on the User Options tab directly impacts the data that displays on charts; if you select Reorg, the organization data that displays is filtered by one reorganization. This filter is directly related to the Organization View selection on the User Options tab. For example, if the Organization Type is set to Performing and the Org or Reorg setting is Reorg, Revenue Analytics displays the organization filter as Performing Reorg Hierarchy.
To select the Organization or Reorganization, complete the following steps:
Click User Options.
Under Org or Reorg, select Org or Reorg. The indicator next to your selection changes to green, and the analytic changes its charts and tables accordingly.
This option displays if the Reorg option is selected. The Reorg list box displays the reorgs that are imported into Costpoint Analytics from the Costpoint application. You can select one or more reorgs to view in the analytics. The contents of this list is determined by configuration settings. See Reorg Selection for additional information.
Because a change in this option represents a fundamental change in how the data is organized, Costpoint Analytics discards any currently selected filter options when you change the selected option from Org to Reorg or the reverse. You must apply the filters you want when you return to the analytics tabs.
