Restrict Access to Setup - All Settings in Chart of Accounts

Use Employee Cross-Company Access in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to grant or restrict access by Advanced Users to the settings in Chart of Accounts in the General Ledger submodule in the Finance & Administration module.

To use Employee Cross-Company Access in the Employee Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To give an Advanced User access to the settings in Chart of Accounts:

  1. Take either of the following actions:
    • Navigate to Settings and click Employee Settings > Employee Cross-Company Access.
    • Navigate to Resources and click Resource Information > Settings > Login Settings.
  2. Highlight the employee account of the Advanced User to whom you want to give access to the settings in Chart of Accounts in the General Ledger submodule in the Finance & Administration module, and select the Allow Access to Settings check box.
  3. Highlight another row and perform a hard refresh to save the changes.
  4. To restrict the access of an Advanced User from the settings in Chart of Accounts:
    1. Highlight the employee account of the Advanced User from whom you want to restrict access to the settings in Chart of Accounts.
    2. Deselect the Allow Access to Settings check box.
    3. Highlight another row and perform a hard refresh to save the changes.
