Expense Types Tab

Use the Expense Types tab in the Costing Codes submodule in the Settings module to enable or disable costing codes for expense types.

Columns

Column	Description
Code	Displays the costing code.
Description	Displays the costing code description, if provided.
Parent	Displays the level 1 costing code that is associated with a level 2 (child) costing code. The cell is blank for level 1 costing codes.
All	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for all expense types.
Time Entry	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for time entries. Note: Selecting or deselecting the header check box enables or disables access for ALL VISIBLE costing codes for that specific expense type. If you use the search field to narrow down the list, this option only selects items among those results.
Vendor Costs	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for vendor costs and purchases. Note: Selecting or deselecting the header check box enables or disables access for ALL VISIBLE costing codes for that specific expense type. If you use the search field to narrow down the list, this option only selects items among those results.
Personal Expense	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for personal expenses. Note: Selecting or deselecting the header check box enables or disables access for ALL VISIBLE costing codes for that specific expense type. If you use the search field to narrow down the list, this option only selects items among those results.
Materials Entry	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for material entries. Note: Selecting or deselecting the header check box enables or disables access for ALL VISIBLE costing codes for that specific expense type. If you use the search field to narrow down the list, this option only selects items among those results.
Mileage Entry	Enables you to enable or disable a costing code for mileage entries. Note: Selecting or deselecting the header check box enables or disables access for ALL VISIBLE costing codes for that specific mileage entry. If you use the search field to narrow down the list, this option only selects items among those results.
