Create Journal Types

Use Journal Types in the Finance submodule in the Settings module to create journal types.

To use Journal Types in the Finance submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To create a journal type:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company for which you want to create a journal type.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Finance > Journal Types.
  4. Click the Journal Types tab, and on the grid toolbar, click Create New .
  5. In the Create New Journal Type dialog box, enter the name of the journal type that you want to create and click OK.
  6. To edit fields, double-click on them.
