Add New Whereabout Types

Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to add new whereabout types. Employees can then use the whereabout types in Time & Expense or Resources to enter time on tasks that require whereabout information. For employees to use a specific whereabout type, you must activate the whereabout type by selecting the corresponding check box.

To use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To add a new whereabout type:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBooksystem, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company to which you want to add a new whereabout type.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Employee Settings > Whereabout.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Add Custom Setting .
  5. On the new line, enter a title for the whereabout type, select a color, and select the check boxes of the settings that you want to enable.
