Activate Time Tracking and Time Entry for Whereabout Types
Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to activate time tracking and time entry for whereabout types.
To use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.
For information on how to require employees to track time on their whereabout entries, see Require an Employee to Track Time on Their Whereabout Entries.
To activate time tracking and time entry for a whereabout type:

On the main toolbar, click
Settings
.
- If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company that contains the whereabout type for which you want to activate time tracking and time entry.
- In the left pane of the Settings page, click .
- In the Find Setting Number field, enter 74, and select 3 - Required for Some Employees from the drop-down list.
- In the left pane of the Settings page, click .

Highlight the whereabout type for which you want to activate time tracking and time entry and select any of the following check boxes as appropriate:
- Time Tracking: When selected, this setting specifies that the whereabout type should be used for time tracking.
- Require Time Entry: When selected, this setting specifies that users are required to enter a start and end time if using a whereabout type. This setting is useful only when the Time Tracking check box is also selected.
- Include in Time Tracking Calculations (Agent): When selected, this setting specifies that the agent should consider the time entered on the whereabout type against the time entered on the timesheet.
