You can choose how you want to spread the forecast within the forecast dates while in the Change Details view of a Forecast Change Request. When you change a forecast date, you have the option to respread the existing forecast or retain the existing forecast spread. In addition, if you have not calculated the forecast before you create the Forecast Change Request, you have several options to use to fix the time phased data in the Change Details view.
In the Change Details view of a Forecast Change Request, if you change the work package forecast dates or if there is ETC outside the work package dates (for example, you load schedule status into Cobra and do not calculate the forecast), when you click in the grid on the Change Details Costs tab, a message displays letting you know that the forecast time phased values do not exactly span the existing forecast work package dates and provides you with two options:
Respread the remaining within the forecast dates
Retain the existing spread and delete the <Change Class> outside the work package dates.
For more information about these two options and the impact they have on the time phase data, see Incorrect Time Phase Message Box.
