Assisted Explanation of Variance Form

Use this form to easily generate and assess narrative scores for Explanation of Variance, Corrective Action, and Impact narratives based on seven criteria, allowing support for the acceptance of Explanation of Variance reports by the respective customers.

On the General tab of the Assisted Explanation of Variance form, there is a Generate Narrative Score button. This button is enabled only for workflows that have a status of New or In Review. To enable and utilize the Narrative Score feature, you must have valid artificial intelligence login credentials entered into the EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA) tool. When the information in the EPM SA tool is valid and you have entered your intended narrative on this form, click the Generate Narrative Score button to generate the narrative score. The narrative score, which is a hyperlink, is then displayed next to the button. Clicking the hyperlink displays a read-only view of the detailed narrative score summary.

Form Toolbar

All workflow categories in PM Compass share a common form toolbar.

Form Tabs

The Assisted Explanation of Variance form has the following tabs:

• General tab

• Child Workflows tab

• Links tab

• Progress tab

Use the Tabs on Form tab in Workflow Type Configuration to determine the labels for tabs and to add or remove tabs for each workflow type.

The Assisted Explanation of Variance form always displays data at the control account level.

If you do not see this workflow type in the list, you must import it. For more information, see Import a Workflow Type.
