Unapproved Change Management Requests Report

When you create a new Contract Change Request and click Start Workflow, PM Compass checks to see if any of the control accounts you selected are currently part of another In-Progress change request in the same change management category. If they are, a warning message displays: The Control Account has unapproved Change Management workflows. Do you want to continue?

When this occurs, Deltek recommends that you run a report to analyze all open Contract Change Requests with all control accounts selected on the Contract Change Request before starting the workflow steps.

To use the Workflow List Report to view all unapproved requests from the same change management category, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Reports » Workflow.

  2. On the Reporting form, in the Workflow List Report Options column, click to display the Workflow List Options dialog box.

  3. On the Sorting/Grouping tab, set the sort order.

  4. On the Columns tab, select the columns then click Apply.

  5. On the Reporting form in the Workflow List Selection column, click to display the Workflow Search dialog box.

  6. Select Display Type = Advanced to display the Advanced Workflow Search dialog box.

  7. in the Project field, select the project.

  8. In the Search Criteria grid toolbar, click Insert to insert a new line in the table.

  9. In the Search Criteria grid, select the following:

    1. Search Table — Select Workflow

    2. Search Field — Select Workflow Status

    3. Operator — Select In List

    4. Search List — Select In Review and In Approval

  10. Click the Organize button to save your search for future use. In addition, saving your search makes it available for use in the Contract Change Request List View. See Organize Options dialog box for more information.

  11. On the Workflow Search dialog box, click Apply.

  12. On the Workflow Reporting form toolbar, click Preview to preview the report.

    The preview displays each Contract Change Request that is In Review or In Approval listed by project / control account and includes the user who created it.

Using the Search in Workflow List View

After you have created and saved the custom search, you can use it to view the list of unapproved requests from the List View.

To view the list of unapproved requests from the List View, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Workflows » All Workflows.

  2. On the All Workflows toolbar, click next to the Search field and select the saved search that you created in the steps above.

  3. If the Control Account column is not displayed, on the grid toolbar click Select Columns and select the Control Account column.

  4. The grid displays the same results as you get when running the Report Preview in the steps above.
