Detail Form: Pay Period Detail
The Period Calendar form is used to configure Monthly and Semi-Monthly pay period calendars. A pay period can be weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly. Weekly and bi-weekly pay periods are configured on the Pay Policy form.

Calendar Name
Name that identifies the Period Calendar.
Description
Description of the Period Calendar.
Calendar Type
Indicates whether the pay period is MONTHLY or SEMIMONTHLY.
Period1 Start
Calendar day of the month when the pay period starts. Used for Monthly pay periods or the first half of a Semi-Monthly pay period.
Period1 End
Calendar day of the month when the pay period ends. Used for Monthly pay periods or the first half of a Semi-Monthly pay period.
Period2 Start
Applies to the second half of a Semi-Monthly pay period. Indicates the calendar day when the pay period starts.
Period2 End
Applies to the second half of a Semi-Monthly pay period. Indicates the calendar day when the pay period ends.
Update Date, Updated By
These fields display when the record was created or updated, and the person who created or updated the record.
Click Main Menu > Administration > Calendar > Period Calendar.
If the record you are searching for is not visible on the form, click the Filter button and select the Period Calendar from the Calendar Name field.
Click Find on the horizontal toolbar. The records that match your criteria will appear.
Click Main Menu > Administration > Calendar > Period Calendar.
Click Add.
Enter a Calendar Name.
In the Description field, enter a description for the pay period calendar.
Select a Calendar Type of MONTHLY (one pay period) or SEMIMONTHLY (two pay periods).
If you are adding a MONTHLY record:
In the Period1 Start field, select the day when Period 1 starts (a number between 1 and 27). Period1 End will default to End, which will be day 28, 29, 30, or 31, depending on the actual month.
If you are adding a SEMIMONTHLY record:
In the Period1
Start field, select the day that Period 1 starts.
In the Period1 End field, select
the monthly day when Period
1 ends.
Period 2 Start will default
to the date immediately following the Period 1 End date.
Period 2 End will default to
End, which will be the either
day 28, 29, 30, or 31, depending on the actual month.
Click Save.
Click Main Menu > Administration > Calendar > Period Calendar.
Find and select the Period Calendar you want to modify.
Click Modify.
Modify the fields you want to change.
Click Save.
Click Main Menu > Administration > Calendar > Period Calendar.
Find and select the record you want to duplicate and click Copy.
Change the Calendar Name and Description.
Click Save.
Click Main Menu > Administration > Calendar > Period Calendar.
Find and select the record you want to delete and click Delete.
Click OK to confirm the action.
