Detail Form: Move Scheme Detail

A Move Scheme is used to limit the type of move transactions that are allowed by your company. A move transaction is created when a user posts quantity for an operation and the user’s Order Policy has Material Move checked. A Move Scheme is used to limit the move transactions that may be used. For example, a Move Scheme may only allow Inter-Operation moves but not Intra-Operation moves.

The Move Scheme is assigned to an Order Policy, which defines the various attributes that affect WIP (Work in Progress) labor as well as material movement. Because different facilities may choose to allow different move schemes, you can use the Move Scheme to disable certain move transactions.

The application includes a Default Move Scheme record called STANDARD which allows all move transactions. You cannot modify the STANDARD Move Scheme but you can make copy it and modify the duplicate, enabling and disabling the move transactions as necessary.

Move Scheme Field Descriptions

Move Scheme Name

Name of the Move Scheme record.

Description

Description of the Move Scheme record.

System required

If this box is checked, the record is system required and cannot be modified or deleted.

Update Date, Updated By

These fields display when the record was created or updated, and the person who created or updated the record.

 

Find a Move Scheme

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > Policies > Move Scheme.

  2. Click Find to refresh the page.

 

Add a Move Scheme

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > Policies > Move Scheme.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter a Move Scheme Name and Description.

  4. Click Save and Add to save these settings and add more Move Scheme records. Click Save to save these settings and close the pop-up window.

    The new Move Scheme record(s) will appear in the top half of the form. For each new Move Scheme record you added, the Move Scheme Detail tab will display the same detail records as those in the STANDARD Move Scheme (except the records will not be System Required).

 

Modify a Move Scheme

You cannot modify the System Required (STANDARD) Move Scheme record.

You can only modify the Description of a Move Scheme record you have created.

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > Policies > Move Scheme.

  2. Select a record and click Modify.

  3. Change the Description and click Save.

 

Delete a Move Scheme

You cannot delete the System Required (STANDARD) Move Scheme record or a Move Scheme record that has been assigned to an Order Policy.

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > Policies > Move Scheme.

  2. Select the record and click Delete.

  3. Click OK to confirm the action.

 

Copy a Move Scheme

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > Policies > Move Scheme.

  2. Select the record you want to duplicate and click Copy.

  3. You must change the Move Scheme Name. Changing the Description is optional.

  4. Click Save and Add to save these settings and add more Move Scheme records. Click Save to save these settings and close the pop-up window.

    The duplicate Move Scheme record(s) will appear in the top half of the form. For each new Move Scheme record you created, the Move Scheme Detail tab will display the same detail records as those in the Move Scheme record you duplicated.
