This section explains how to delete transactions from the Period, Weekly, and Daily tabs of the Supervisor Review timecard (Current Situation and Time Card Review) and from the Self Service Time Card.
Note that the user’s ability to delete transactions from the timecard will depend on whether Delete is enabled for that particular timecard form in the user’s Security Role. In addition, certain Event Settings may restrict which event’s a user can delete.
You can delete an elapsed transaction from the Period, Weekly, and Daily timecard tabs using the Delete command.
You can only delete a punch transaction from the Daily timecard. You can use the Delete command or the trash can icon to delete punch transactions.
To delete all the transactions in a single day, use the Delete All button in the Daily tab of the Supervisor Review form.
The Replace Punch feature allows a supervisor to replace an incorrect punch transaction with a different punch transaction. Replace punch is only available to supervisors in the Daily tab of the Current Situation and Time Card Review forms.
Right-click the hours you want to delete and select Delete from the pop-up menu.
If you are on the Daily timecard tab, you can also click the trash can icon.
Click OK to confirm the action.
If a reason code or comment is required, the Event Prompts – Elapsed pop-up form will appear. Enter the comment and/or reason code and click Save.
Click the Recalculate button to bring the timecard into compliance with your Pay Policy rules.
The Delete All button deletes all the transactions from a single day.
The Delete All button is only available in the Daily tab of the Supervisor Review and Labor Review forms.
By default, the Delete All button is not visible in the daily supervisor timecard. To use this button, you will need to create a custom Security Role with this button enabled and assign the Security Role to the appropriate supervisors.
You can view the deleted transactions in the timecard if Show Adjustments is set to ALL or USER ADJUSTMENTS in your Preferences.
If any of the events you are deleting have been configured in the Event Policy for comments and reason codes on delete, a form will display for you to enter the Comment and/or Reason Code.
An asterisk (*) indicates the Reason Code or Comment is required.
This form will display if at least one of the events you are deleting has Comment on Delete or Reason on Delete set to Enabled-Optional or Enabled-Required in the Event Policy.
The comment and/or reason code you enter in this form will apply to all the applicable events. If you want to enter separate comments/reason codes for each event, you need to delete the events individually.
See Comments and Reason Codes for information on configuring the application to use comments and reason codes.
