Charge Group

Detail form: Charge Group Code

Charge Groups function as place holders for REASON codes and OT Refusal codes that can be used for transaction purposes on the client terminal and Web application. The codes are created on the Charge Code form. You create the common name on the Charge Group form and assign the codes to the group via the Charge Group Code tab.

Reason Codes are used by employees and supervisors to explain why they are adding, modifying, or deleting and event in the timecard.

OT Refusal Codes are used by employees who are refusing an overtime offer.

Note: This form requires the Charge Element Forms module to be licensed and enabled.

Charge Group Field Descriptions

Charge Group Name

Identifies the name of the group.

Charge Group Type

Identifies the type of group this record is associated with. The type determines the codes that can be associated with the Charge Group Name. For example, the charge group type REASON allows codes with charge code type REASON to be associated with the group.

Overtime Refusal

OT_REFUSAL

Overtime Refusal codes apply when employee refuses an overtime offer and the employee's OT Response Policy has Refusal Code Req. set to Optional or Mandatory.

REASON

Reason Codes apply when a user posts a transaction on the timecard and is prompted to select a reason for the transaction. The user's Event Policy determines whether reason codes are required or optional.

 

Description

A general description of the record.

Record Status

Identifies if this record is active or inactive.

Update Date, Updated By

These fields display when the record was created or updated, and the person who created or updated the record.

 

Add a Charge Group

  1. Click Main Menu > Administration > Charge Element > Charge Group.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter a Charge Group Name and select the Charge Group Type.

  4. Enter a Description for the Charge Group.

  5. Select a Record Status. If the record is saved as Inactive it will not be available as a Charge Group throughout the application.

  6. If you want to add more than one Charge Group, click Save and Add to save your settings and keep the Add window open. Or click Save to save your Charge Group and return to the main form.

  7. Use the Charge Group Code tab to add codes to the group.

 

Copy a Charge Group

  1. Click Main Menu > Administration > Charge Element > Charge Group.

  2. Select a Charge Group and click Copy.

  3. Change the fields as necessary.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Use the Charge Group Code tab to modify the codes in the group.

 

Modify a Charge Group

  1. Click to Main Menu > Administration > Charge Element > Charge Group.

  2. Select the record you want to change and click Modify.

  3. You can change all the fields except the Charge Group Name.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Use the Charge Group Code tab to modify the codes in the group.

 

Delete a Charge Group

  1. Click Main Menu > Administration > Charge Element > Charge Group.

  2. Select the record you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.

  4. Click OK to confirm.
