Variance Chart (Multi-Project)
The Variance chart on the Contract View tab provides a comparison of schedule variance, cost variance, or variance at completion trends for the selected contracts.
Chart Format
The Variance chart is a line chart, with a separate line for each contract that represents change in the selected variance over time for that contract.
Chart Item | Description |
---|---|
Horizontal axis | The horizontal axis displays the range of periods. |
Vertical axis | The vertical axis displays the range of variance amounts. |
Lines | Each line represents the change in value for the selected variance for one contract.
Each data point on the line represents the cumulative or current variance amount for the contract for that period. |
Chart Data
Your selection in the SV/CV/VAC option set at the top of the chart determines the type of variances that are charted. Your selection in the Cumulative/Current option set on the left side of the tab determines whether the chart displays cumulative or current variance amounts.
This chart is not affected by the Amount/Percent option set. It always displays variance amounts.
Data Item | Description |
---|---|
SV | Cumulative or current schedule variance amount for the contract and period. |
CV | Cumulative or current cost variance amount for the contract and period. |
VAC | Variance at completion amount for the contract and period. |
