SV % and CV % Distribution Chart (Multi-Project)

The SV % and CV % Distribution Chart on the Contract View tab plots a "bubble" for each element based on that element's cumulative cost variance and schedule variance percentages. The size of each bubble communicates additional information about each element's performance relative to the other elements. For example, you can have the bubble sizes reflect the cumulative cost variance in dollars so you can focus on those with the largest variances.

Chart Format

The SV % and CV % Distribution chart is a bubble chart.

Right-click in the Bottom to Top Variance chart (the leftmost chart at the bottom of the tab) to select the type of variance you want the bubble size to represent (SV, CV, or VAC). You can also click one or more times to cycle through the variance options. The variance you select for this chart also applies to the other two charts at the bottom of the dashboard.

Use in the Sort View table or the Bottom and Top variance tables in the upper part of the tab to select the structure level.

Chart Item	Description
Horizontal axis	The horizontal axis displays the range of cumulative or current cost variance percentages.
Vertical axis	The vertical axis displays the range of cumulative or current schedule variance percentages.
Bubbles: structure elements	The chart includes bubbles for all elements at the selected level of the structure that satisfy the filters and options you apply. The location of each bubble relative to the horizontal axis indicates that element's cost variance percentage. The location of each bubble relative to the vertical axis indicates that element's schedule variance percentage. The size of each bubble represents that element's cost variance, schedule variance, or variance at completion amount or percentage relative to the variances for the other elements. The bubble color indicates how that variance amount or percentage relates to the performance threshold settings that your wInsight system administrator establishes for each contract in wInsight.

Chart Data

The SV % and CV % Distribution chart displays the following data for all elements at the selected level of the contract structure as of the period selected in Period:

CV percentage	The cumulative or current cost variance percentage for the element.
SV percentage	The cumulative or current schedule variance percentage for the element.
VAC percentage	The variance at completion percentage for the element.
CV amount	The cumulative or current cost variance amount for the element.
SV amount	The cumulative or current schedule variance amount for the element.
VAC amount	The variance at completion amount for the element.

To see the element represented by a bubble, along with the actual variance percentages and amounts for that element, position the mouse pointer on that bubble. The element information displays in a data box.
