Timesheet Period Selection Dialog Box

Use the Timesheet Period Selection dialog box to select and open a timesheet for any timesheet period.

The dialog box displays the following:

To display the dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Time and Expense > Timesheet.
  2. Click Open on the Timesheet toolbar.

Field Description
Week number/Timesheet period number If period numbers have been assigned to timesheet periods, this unlabeled column displays the period numbers for the timesheet periods.
Start Date This column displays the start date for each timesheet period set up on the Calendar tab of Company Timesheet Configuration. The start date is the first date for which users can charge time to a timesheet period.
End Date This column displays the end date for each timesheet period set up on the Calendar tab of Company Timesheet Configuration. The end date is the last date for which users can charge time to a timesheet period.
Status

This column displays the current status of the timesheet period.

For open timesheet periods, there are five status values: <Blank>, In Progress, Submitted, Approved, and Posted.

For closed timesheet periods, the value Closed displays in the Status column.

Automatically default to current period at startup

If you select this option, Vision no longer displays the Timesheet Period Selection dialog box when you open the Timesheet application. Instead, Vision automatically opens your timesheet for the current period.

You can select or clear this option at any time.
