If you need to correct the project, phase, task, or labor code on a timesheet entry after it was submitted, reverse a line item to create a negative entry for the initial hours on the incorrect record and then enter a new line item with the correct information.
This feature can be helpful because the grid on the left side of the timesheet is locked once revisions have been tracked on the timesheet.
To reverse a timesheet entry, complete the following steps:
-
From the Vision Navigation menu, click
.
-
Open the timesheet.
-
Select the line item with the entry that you want to reverse.
-
Click
Reverse.
This creates a new, additional line item with a negative amount to zero out the original entry.
-
To enter a correcting entry for the information being reversed, click
Insert to insert a new row on the grid and then make the correct entries and save.
If Timesheet Auditing is enabled, the Revision Audit dialog box displays when you save or submit the revised timesheet, so that you can provide an explanation for the revision.
