Dashpart Timeout Setting
A dashpart timeout occurs when the process of displaying data is taking too long. This issue can occur if a dashpart is configured with many columns, filters, and calculated fields, in combination with other dashpart settings.
To prevent server issues caused by Dashboards with large or complex dashparts, affected dashparts stop attempting to display when the timeout duration is reached and an error message displays to identify the affected dashpart.
By default, the dashpart timeout setting is 10 minutes. This timeout setting does not apply to:
- Dashparts with schedules for snapshot creation
- System dashparts, with the exception of the Collections Forecast system dashpart
What to Do When Dashparts Time Out
When dashparts time out, select one of the following responses:
- Work with your dashboard administrator to optimize the affected dashpart. Minimize the number of columns, filters, calculated fields, and reduce other dashpart settings to make the dashpart display faster.
- Contact Deltek Vantagepoint Customer Support or Cloud Administrators to adjust the dashpart timeout setting.
