Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

What's New

The Vantagepoint 7.1 release delivers on the themes of usability and efficiency.

Here are a few of the highlights:

Resource Planning and Projects

  • You can now view employee utilization details from the Reassign and Add Assignments dialog box in Resource View.
  • You can now use the new Multiple link on the Labor Plan to open an info bubble that displays rate escalations.

Timesheets/Mobile Time and Expense

  • You can now configure approved absence requests to automatically update future timesheets.
  • Administrators can now determine which employees to exclude from the automatic population of holiday and PTO hours on timesheets.
  • You can now configure Vantagepoint to display holidays and approved absences automatically in Mobile Time and Expense.

Payroll

  • Form W-2 Processing is now available in the browser application.

Usability

You can now:

  • Use the unified Navigation Menu to access any Vantagepoint application in the browser application or desktop application.
  • Use Advanced Search to search by multiple values with the "Starts with," "Contains," or "Does Not Contain" operators. You can also add "This," "Last," and "Next Year" to the Search Options for date fields.
  • Access My Preferences, Self Service, and Log Out options by clicking your employee image on the Vantagepoint toolbar, next to your username.
  • Set a Screen Designer option to show or hide the thousands separator in user-defined numeric fields.
  • Right-click to open a new browser tab.

Login Security

  • Flexible SSO support with OpenID connect enables Vantagepoint to support both Microsoft Entra ID SSO and Okta SSO.

Dashboards and Dashparts

  • You can now use the Funnel Charts in the Chart Dashparts to review the monetary value of in-pursuit projects as they go through those stages before being awarded pipeline status.
  • You can also use the Dashboard Administrator's additional controls to copy and delete personal dashboards, as well as share dashboards with all roles.

Technical

  • Use the flexible options for Single Sign On (SSO) in conjunction with the unified Navigation menu to access any Vantagepoint application.
