Group Transactions

You can group transactions and then modify or post them all at the same time.

You assign a filename to a group of transactions on the New File dialog box. When you open a transaction file, you can use search to find individual transactions in the file or click or to page through the transactions and then select one.

To group transactions:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Settings > Accounting > Transactions.
  2. On the Transactions settings form, in the Transaction Options section, set the Use Files to Group Transactions option to Yes.
  3. Click Save.
Important: If you later decide not to group transactions, you need to post all transaction files before you change Use Files to Group Transaction to No. If you do not do so, all posted and recurring transaction entry files are deleted.
