Explicit Save in List View (Opt-In Available)

Use the Explicit Save in List View feature to manually change information for multiple records when you work in list view, and to disable the auto-save feature for hubs.

You can choose to opt in to this feature for the Vantagepoint 7.0 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all Vantagepoint users in a future release. For more information, see Opt-In Feature Overview.

To use the Explicit Save in List View feature:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Settings > General > Opt-in Features.
  2. On the Opt-In Features form, select the Hubs > Explicit Save in List View row and turn on the Enabled option ().
Vantagepoint disables the auto-save feature in all list views in the hubs. You can then update multiple records before choosing when to save those changes by clicking the Save button. When you click this button, Vantagepoint saves all validated records. Records that return errors are highlighted in the grid with the first error in the list given focus. Errors are also displayed on a dialog box that lists each record's error and that may also offer suggestions for correcting the error.
