  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Favorite Report Dashpart

Use this dashpart to display one report from a list of global favorite reports.

While viewing the Dashparts Library pane of the Dashboards form in edit mode, favorite report dashparts are represented with the icon in the dashpart list. Use the Favorite Report dashpart to display a report in a dashboard so that you can quickly view report information when you access your dashboard.

Not to be confused from the Favorite Report system dashpart, this Favorite Report dashpart is a dashpart that uses Favorite Report as the dashpart base. This Favorite Report dashpart displays only one selected report from a list of global favorite reports and does not have access to personal favorite reports. On the other hand, the Favorite Reports system dashpart displays a list of all saved personal and global favorite reports that can be accessed from the dashboard.

Apart from viewing the favorite report, you have the option to print the report or save the report as an available file format.

Favorite report data is refreshed every 24 hours, but you can configure the data to refresh every time you access the dashboard in the Dashpart Designer form. However, if you configure the favorite report data to refresh every time you access the dashboard, it is possible that performance issues might be experienced. Performance issues can be compounded especially if multiple users access the dashboard at the same time. As an alternative, Favorite Report dashpart headings have a button that you can click to refresh the favorite report data as needed.
