  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Synchronizing Between Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Online

After you set up the Vantagepoint and QuickBooks integration, synchronizing (syncing) occurs between the two products to add and update records and transactions that they shared.

For a list of records and transactions that are synced between Vantagepoint, and where you must enter each type of record or transaction (in Vantagepoint or QuickBooks Online), see Records and Transactions Synced Between Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Online

The following occur during syncing:

  • New records and transactions entered in Vantagepoint are added to QuickBooks Online and vice versa.
  • Changes made to records that are shared between Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Online are updated in the other product.

In the online help, syncing may also be described as sharing or updating records and transactions.

Warning About Deleting Transactions in QuickBooks Online and Undoing Postings in Vantagepoint.

Deleting transactions in QuickBooks Online and undoing postings in Vantagepoint are not supported, meaning that the deletion or undoing in one product does not get applied in the other product during syncing.

When you delete a transaction in QuickBooksOnline that is shared with Vantagepoint, you must complete manual steps in Vantagepoint for the equivalent result to occur in Vantagepoint. Syncing Frequency

The following table shows the syncing frequency between Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Online, based on whether you used Deltek Unionpoint or the QuickBooks Integration utility in Vantagepoint to set up the integration.

How You Completed the Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Integration Setup Syncing Frequency
With Deltek Unionpoint
  • Records going from Vantagepoint to QuickBooks and vice versa are synced every five minutes.
  • Transactions going either way are synced every five minutes
With the QuickBooks Integration Utility in Vantagepoint

A system administrator enters the following on the Integration Setup tab in the QuickBooks integration utility in Vantagepoint:

  • Specifies the time interval for the automatic syncing to occur
  • Runs the syncing manually at any time by clicking the Process Changes Now button.
