Run the Labor Cross Charge Process

After you specify cross charge settings in Accounting Settings, post timesheets, make labor adjustments, and complete billing transfers, you can run the labor cross charge process to transfer labor expense and associated revenue between different organizations in your enterprise.

Prerequisite: You must establish related settings before you run this process. For information, see Set Up Cross Charges.

To run the labor cross charge process:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Accounting > Labor Cross Charge.
  2. On the Labor Cross Charge form, specify the range of accounting periods for the transaction file.
  3. To replace processed files of the same filename that are not yet posted, select the Replace Existing Unposted Cross Charge Files of Same File Names option.
  4. Specify the names of the journal entry file and the labor adjustment file.
  5. In the Transaction Date field, specify the transaction date for the journal entries that result from the labor cross charge process.
  6. If your firm uses diary reports, use the Diary field to specify the diary code for this process.
  7. To display files with a status of processed, select the Display Postings Already Processed option.
  8. To see related labor adjustments and billing transfers, select the Display Labor Adjustments and Billing Transfers option.
  9. In the Labor Cross Charge grid, review transaction data and select the files to include in the process.
  10. On the Actions bar, click Run.
