Context Pane Toolbar and Options
The Context Pane contains a toolbar and various menu options that display based on the area in which you are working. Review the complete list of options that are available in Vantagepoint Connect.
Toolbar
The toolbar displays at the top of the Context Pane with options that change depending on the area in which you are working.
Context Pane Menu Options
Within each section of the context pane, click the
in the heading to open the menu options that are specific to that section of the context pane. The options change depending on the area in which you are working.
For example, the Contacts section displays Create Email, Create Meeting, Log Email, Create Project, Edit Contact, and Open in Vantagepoint, while the Firms section displays Log Email, Create Project, Edit Firm, and Open in Vantagepoint.
Field | Description |

Create Email | Select this option to create an email message in your mail application and send the message to the associated contact. The email dialog box prefills with the contact's associated email address. Enter the message details and send. |
Create Meeting | Select this option to create a meeting on your calendar that prefills with the associated contact information. Enter and save the meeting details to save it to your calendar. |
Log Email | Select this option to automatically save the email message and its associated information as an activity record. This saves the name, start date, end date, status, contact, project, firm, and any other important associated information from the email message.

Create Project | Select this option to create a new project record in Vantagepoint. On the New Project form in the Projects hub, enter and save the project information. The project information will save and synchronize between both applications. See the New Project Form help topic for more information. |
Edit Contact | Select this option to open and edit the contact record directly on the Context Pane. The contact information will save and synchronize between both applications. See the Contacts Form and associated help topics for information on the contact fields. |
Create Firm | Select this option to create a new firm record in Vantagepoint. Enter and save the firm's information. The firm information will save and synchronize between both applications. See the Firms Form and associated help topics for information on the firm fields. |
Edit Firm | Select this option to open and edit the firm record directly on the Context Pane. The firm information will save and synchronize between both applications. See the Firms Form and associated help topics for information on the firm fields. |
Open in Vantagepoint | Select this option to open the record in the Vantagepoint application. This will open Vantagepoint, log you in, and take you to the associated record. |
