Find a Field on a Hub Form

Use the Find Field option to quickly search for any field name or database column identifier on a hub form and its tabs.

To locate a field on a hub form and its tabs:

  1. To the right of a hub form's name, click the Actions bar or the Other Actions menu (whichever is available on the hub form you selected).
    A drop-down list of options displays.
  2. Select the Find Field option to display the Find Field/Caption ID search field.
  3. Enter the field name or database column identifier that you want to locate.
    Because the database column identifiers often include the hub name, entering a hub as the search criteria will result in a larger number of matches.
    Vantagepoint searches all field names and database column identifiers. When a match is found, the Find Field/Caption ID search field displays the number of files found.
  4. When multiple matches are found, click or to page through the results on the forms and tabs.
    As each field is located, the hub form locates and then highlights either a specific form field, grid, lookup, drop-down, or any other selection list. You can then add or update information in the field, as needed.
