  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Change Number Tab of the Firms Form (Key Conversions)

Use this tab to change the vendor number for an existing firm from the Firms hub.

This applies for firms that are entered in the Firms hub with a firm type that is Vendor. Firm type is entered on the Summary pane in the Firms hub. This utility changes the vendor number for a firm, not the firm ID.

After the vendor number is changed, the new vendor number is updated in the Firms hub. All associated fields and existing accounts payable transactions are also updated with the new vendor number.

Warning: If your company uses an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility. There is no way to undo this process without a backup database.

If your company has an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, your company manages your database backup. If your company has a cloud-based deployment of Vantagepoint, coordinate with Deltek about your database backup.

Change Number Grid Columns

Field Description
Existing Firm Name Enter or select an existing firm whose vendor number you want to change. When you select a firm, the list includes only firms whose firm type is Vendor. If a firm ID was entered for a firm, the firm's ID displays in addition to the firm name in the list.
Existing Firm Number This column displays the vendor number for the existing firm that you entered in the Existing Firm Name field.
New Firm Number Enter or select a new vendor number for the firm that you entered in the Existing Firm Name column. If the new vendor number already is in use, you receive an error, and you must enter a different number.

Change Number Grid Options

Field Description
+ Add Firm Click + Add Firm below the grid, and in the blank row, specify an existing firm for which you want to change its vendor number. You add a row for each firm whose vendor number you want to change.
X Click X at the end or a row to delete the row.
