Combine Records Tab of the Units Form (Key Conversions)

Use this tab to combine units.

All data associated with the units that are combined using this tab are automatically updated across all applicable applications in Vantagepoint.

Field Description
Run Click this option to combine the units entered in the Combine Records grid. Combining units that are associated with different companies or currencies is not allowed.

Warning: Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility because there is no way to undo the process without a backup database.

Schedule Click this option to display the Schedule dialog box, which you use to configure options to schedule the conversion process of the utility.

Combining Records Grid Column

Field Description
Existing Unit Number Select the unit in the lookup to be combined into the selected unit in the New Unit Number column. All the relevant data from the selected unit in this column is merged into the selected unit in the New Unit Number column.
Existing Unit Name This field displays the unit name of the selected unit in the Existing Unit Number column.
New Unit Number Select the unit in the lookup that becomes the new merged unit. Data from the selected unit in the Existing Unit Number column is transferred to the selected unit in this column.
New Unit Name This field displays the unit name of the selected unit in the New Unit Number column.

Combining Records Grid Options

Field Description
+ Add Unit Click this option to add a new blank row in the grid. Add more rows to combine other units.
X Click this option at the end or a row to delete the row.
