Combine Records Tab of the Tax Codes Form (Key Conversions)

Use this tab to combine tax codes.

All the data that are associated with the tax codes that are combined using this tab are automatically updated across all applicable applications in Vantagepoint.

Field	Description
Run	Click Run to combine the tax codes entered in the Combine Records grid. Combining tax codes that are associated with different companies or currencies is not allowed. Warning: We strongly recommend that a backup copy of your database is created before running the utility because there is no way to undo the process without a backup database.
Schedule	Click Schedule to display the Schedule dialog box where you can configure options to schedule the conversion process of the utility.

Combining Records Grid Column

Field	Description
Existing Tax Code	Select a tax code in the drop-down to be combined into the selected tax code in the New Tax Code column. All the relevant data from the selected tax code in this column is merged into the selected tax code in the New Tax Code column.
Existing Tax Code Name	Displays the tax code name of the selected tax code in the Existing Tax Code column.
New Tax Code	Select the tax code that becomes the new merged tax code. Data from the selected tax code in the Existing Tax Code column is transferred to the selected tax code in this column.
New Tax Code Name	Displays the tax code name of the selected tax code in the New Tax Code column.

Combining Records Grid Options

Field	Description
+ Add Tax Code	Click + Add Tax Code to add a new blank row in the grid. Add more rows to combine other tax codes.
X	Click X at the end or a row to delete the row.
