Combine Records Tab of the Contacts Form (Key Conversions)

Use this tab to combine contact records.

Warning: If your company uses an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility. There is no way to undo this process without a backup database.

If your company has an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, your company manages your database backup. If your company has a cloud-based deployment of Vantagepoint, coordinate with Deltek about your database backup.

Combining Records Grid Columns

Field Description
Existing Contacts Name Enter or select a contact record to be combined into another contact record. All the data from the selected contact record in this column is transferred to the selected contact record in the New Contact Name column.
Existing Contacts Firm This column displays the firm that is associated with the selected contact record in the Existing Contacts Name column.
New Contact Name Enter or select a contact record that becomes the new merged contact record. The data of the selected contact record in the Existing Contacts Name column is transferred to the selected contact record in this column.
New Contact Firm This column displays the firm that is associated with the selected contact record in the New Contact Name column.

Combining Records Grid Options

Field Description
+ Add Contact Click + Add Contact to add a new blank row in the grid. Add more rows to combine other contact records.
X Click X at the end or a row to delete the row.
