Change Number Tab of the Tasks Form (Key Conversions)

Use this tab to change the task number of a task record and keep it on the same phase and project or move it to a new phase or project.

Action Bar

Task records that are modified using this tab are automatically updated across all applicable applications in Vantagepoint.

If you have the Resource Planning module any dependencies on the existing task, as well as any dependencies on associated labor codes, are removed when you click Run or Schedule to move tasks to a new project. Tasks that you move within the same project retain their dependencies.

If you change a task number but do not move it, any existing dependencies for the task are retained after the process is run.

Field Description
Run Click this option to change the task numbers for the selected task records in the grid.
Warning: If your company uses an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility. There is no way to undo this process without a backup database.

If your company has an on-premises deployment of Vantagepoint, your company manages your database backup. If your company has a cloud-based deployment of Vantagepoint, coordinate with Deltek about your database backup.
