Delete a Labor Code from a Plan Work Breakdown Structure

You can remove a labor code row that was previously added to a plan work breakdown structure (WBS) from either the planning grid on the Labor tab of the Plan form or the Add/Edit Labor Codes dialog box.

If you delete a labor code that has schedule dependencies, any associated dependency details are also removed. If job-to-date (JTD) hours exist for a labor code row, you cannot delete it, but any dependency details are removed.

To delete a labor code row from a plan WBS:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Hubs > Projects > Plan.
  2. At the top of the Plan form, enter either a complete or partial name or number in the Find project lookup field to find and select the project for which you want to delete the labor code row.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Click on the Labor tab.
    • On the Actions bar, click Other Actions > Add/Edit Labor Codes.
  4. In the grid, navigate through the plan WBS to the labor code row that you want to delete.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If you are on the Labor tab of the Plan form, hover over the labor code row, click at the end of the row, and click Delete.
    • If you are on the Add/Edit Labor Codes dialog box, hover over the labor code row and click at the end of the row.
  6. When a confirmation request displays, click Delete to complete the deletion.
