Journal Entries and QuickBooks Integration
When you use the integration between Vantagepoint and QuickBooks Online, you enter journal entries in either QuickBooks Online or Vantagepoint.
Journal Entries Entered in QuickBooks Online
Journal entries that you make in QuickBooks Online are not updated in Vantagepoint since the general ledger and financial reports are maintained only in QuickBooks Online.
Any reversing journal entries that you make in QuickBooks Online for journal entries that originate from Vantagepoint are not updated in Vantagepoint.
Journal Entries Entered in Vantagepoint
Journal entries that you make and post in Vantagepoint in
are added to QuickBooks Online.Journal entries made in Vantagepoint support revenue, work-in-progress, and unit transactions.
In QuickBooks Online, you see the Vantagepoint journal entries in the following locations:

To reverse journal entries that were created in Vantagepoint, you must make the reversing entries in Vantagepoint, not in QuickBooks Online. The reversing entries from Vantagepoint are added to QuickBooks Online.

Tax Codes and Journal Entries
Entering tax codes in journal entries in Vantagepoint is not supported.
Deleting and Undoing Journal Entries
Deleting transactions in QuickBooks Online and undoing postings in Vantagepoint are not supported, meaning that the deletion or undoing in one product does not get applied in the other product .
To delete a journal entry in both QuickBooks Online and Vantagepoint:
- In QuickBooks Online, delete the journal entry. (The matching journal entry in Vantagepoint is not deleted.)
- In Vantagepoint, undo the posting for the matching journal entry in . (This does not affect the journal entry in QuickBooks Online.)
