Copy an Existing General Ledger Group

To create a general ledger group, you can copy and modify an existing one. The new budget group retains the year, notes, and associated detail budgets of the original group.

Prerequisite: You must have an existing general ledger group.

To create a budget group by copying an existing one:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select General Ledger > General Ledger Groups.
  2. Open an existing general ledger group.
    For more information, see Open a General Ledger Group.
  3. On the Actions bar, click Actions > Copy.
  4. At the form's header, enter a unique name for the new general ledger group.
  5. Modify other information for the new general ledger group record, as necessary.
  6. Click Save.
