To reformat the length, delimiter, or delimiter position for your phases, use the Key Format utility for phase numbers.
When you install
Vantagepoint, the default work breakdown structure (WBS) has only the project level (WBS 1 level). If you also want the option to use the phase level (WBS 2 level), use this utility to specify the phase number length and other format information.
If you activate the phase level and later decide that you want to deactivate it system-wide, contact Deltek Support Services for guidance. The process for removing a WBS level can be complicated and labor intensive.
Warning: If your company uses an on-premises deployment of
Vantagepoint, Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility. There is no way to undo this process without a backup database.
If your company has an on-premises deployment of
Vantagepoint, your company manages your database backup. If your company has a cloud-based deployment of
Vantagepoint, coordinate with Deltek about your database backup.
