View the Firm Hierarchy

The Firm Hierarchy tree displays the parent-subsidiary relationships of your firms in graphical form.

To see the hierarchical relationships between firms or agencies, you can create, view, and report contact, and project data at both an individual and summary (rolled-up) level.

Firm hierarchies are enabled by default, but your system administrator can disable the feature in Settings > General > Firm Hierarchy.

You can view a firm hierarchy regardless of your security role's access rights, but you must have edit access rights to the firm and its child firms in order to edit the hierarchy.

To view the firm hierarchy:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Hubs > Firms > Firms.
  2. At the top of the Firms form, enter either a complete or partial name or number in the Find firm lookup field to find and select the firm that you want to open.
  3. Click Firm Hierarchy to view the hierarchy.
This icon displays in navy when a hierarchy already exists. It displays in light gray when there is no associated hierarchy.
