Do a Timesheet Floor Check

If you are responsible for making sure that employee time entry is completed on time, you can do a floor check to review the status of time entries for your employees, for a timesheet period or for a specific day.

Your access to this feature requires that you have Group, Company, or System access to the Timesheet application.

To do a timesheet floor check:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select My Stuff > Timesheet.
  2. On the Timesheets form, select the timesheet to display.
  3. Click Other Actions > Floor Check.
  4. If you have multiple companies, select the company for which you want to perform a floor check from the Company drop-down list on the Floor Check dialog box.
    If your enterprise does not use multiple companies, this field does not display.
  5. Use the Time Period drop-down list to select the start and end dates.
  6. In Time Frame, indicate whether you want to do a floor check for the entire timesheet period or for a specific day in the period.
  7. If you set Time Frame to By Timesheet Day, specify the date in the Day field.
  8. Enable the Other Than Expected Hours toggle if you want to limit the list to only those employees who have more or less than the expected hours for the timesheet period or day (based on Hours/Day entered on the Employment Details tab in the Employees hub).
  9. To review the timesheets, do any of the following:
    • To sort the results, click or next to each column heading in the grid.
    • To filter the results in one or more columns, click .
    • To view the associated timesheet, click the link in the Hours Entered field.

      A next to the value indicates more than the expected hours are entered for the associated employee.

    • To view multiple timesheets, select one or more rows in the grid and then click the Open Timesheet option.
    • To send a message to the employees' Notification Center, select one or more rows in the grid and then click the Send Notification option.
    • To send an email message or to create or modify email templates, select one or more rows in the grid and then click the Send Email option.
  10. Click Close.
