Contents of the Billing Units Modify Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to modify unit transaction detail before you bill the transaction.

These fields prefill with the information already entered for the unit transaction. Change the information in any editable field as needed. These changes are not posted to the general ledger or the project. The changes affect only the billing invoice.

Field Description
Project This field displays the project number and name of the project that is associated with the transaction. The project displays as a hyperlink. Click the link to see more information about the project.
Phase This field display the phase number and name if a phase is associated with the transaction.
Task This fields display the task number and name, if a task is associated with the transaction.
Unit This field displays the unit name and number associated with the transaction.
Unit Table This field displays the unit table associated with the transaction.
Employee This field displays the employee who will receive all the realization associated with the unit being modified.

A specific employee is associated with a unit if the unit was set up with the Employee-specific Revenue check box selected (in the Units grid in Settings > Accounting > Units).

This field displays only if you enabled the Employee Realization Reporting feature.

To turn on the Employee Realization Reporting feature, you set Enable Employee Realization by Employee to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options.

Date This field prefills with the transaction date, which you can change.
Description This field prefills with the description entered for the transaction. Modify it as needed.
Quantity This field prefills with the number of units entered for the transaction, which you can change.
Rate This field displays the billing rate for the unit that is used to calculate the billing amount for the invoice.
Billing Extension This field displays the billing amount to include on an invoice for the transaction. It is determined by multiplying the values in the Rate and Quantity fields.
Modify Click this button to save the entries on this dialog box and return to the Units tab of the Interactive Billing form.
Cancel Click this button to discard any changes that you made on this dialog box and return to the Units tab of the Interactive Billing form.
