History Loading Utility
As part of installing Vantagepoint, you enter historical information about your projects and accounts, including labor and expenses accumulated on projects, account balances, and outstanding transactions.
You enter this information as of the installation cutoff date (which is often the start date for your first set of timesheets and expenses processed in
Vantagepoint).
- Work that occurred before this date is history data.
- Work that occurs after this date is transaction data.
Job-to-date historical amounts must begin at the start of the project and end at the cutoff date.
When you enter historical data through the History Loading utility, you must enter the data on special history loading forms, which let you enter information directly into your Vantagepoint database. You do not have to post this information into the database.
The History Loading utility allows you to enter and track data from the prior period to the installation cutoff date.
