Activity Reminders

Use the Activity Reminder feature to set up how you want to receive reminders for your activities. You can set up an activity reminder anytime that you schedule an activity.

Use the Settings menu in the top right corner to set up your activity reminder. Click > My Preferences to display the My Preferences dialog box. On the Remind Me About Activities lookup, click to select how you want to receive your activity reminders. The Reminder option is automatically selected each time that you schedule a new activity. Clear the option if you do not want to receive a reminder for the activity.

You can choose to receive email activity reminders, pop-up activity reminders, or both.

  • Email Reminder: An email reminder for an activity is sent to your email address at the reminder time specified for the activity. You do not have to be logged on to Vantagepoint to receive an email reminder.
  • Pop-up Reminder: A pop-up reminder displays on your screen at the reminder time specified for the activity. You must be logged on to Vantagepoint to receive a pop-up reminder. If you are not logged on to Vantagepoint when a pop-up reminder is sent, the reminder displays the next time that you log on.

To change the time frame in which you receive the reminder, click Reminder on the Activity form, and select an option from the lookup. The time increments can include 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 2 weeks, and so on.

If there is an option that is not available in the lookup, you can manually add a new time increment. Click the reminder time to the left of the drop-down arrow and type the time increment.
