Using Online Help

Launch the help by clicking in the upper right corner of any screen in the software.

The help covers all of the Vantagepoint modules, some of which your enterprise may not use.

Click on a Vantagepoint Form

When you click on a form, a help drop-down list opens and displays the following items to choose from:

  • Online Help: This gives you access to the help search field for searching all of the help system and access to the help Table of Contents that contains all of the help topics organized by application.
  • List of topics for the form you have open: Open these topics to easily find descriptions for each field and option on the form and its tabs. The help search field for searching all of the help system and the help Table of Contents that contains all of the help topics by organized by application are also available with these help topics.
  • Learning Aids: Any video that applies for the form and its tabs displays here.
  • Vantagepoint Information Center: This provides links to other documentation:
    • Technical Administrator Online Help
    • PDF Guides
    • What's New / Release Notes
    • Video Library
    • Developer Resources (API)
    • Data Dictionary
  • Email Help Desk: Send an email to your company's help desk. A system administrator configures this in Settings > General > Communications.
  • Deltek Support Center: Open the Deltek Support Center web page.
  • About: View technical information about the Vantagepoint version you have installed.

Click on a Vantagepoint Dialog Box

When you click on a dialog box, the help topic for the dialog box opens, so you can easily find the descriptions that explain each field and option on the dialog box. The help search field for searching all of the help system and the help Table of Contents that contains all of the help topics by organized by application are also available on the help screen.
