Revenue Forecast

Use revenue forecasting to enter estimate-to-complete (ETC) revenue in summary or across calendar periods at any level of the project structure, for regular projects. You can then compare planned and ETC revenue against your contract, job-to-date (JTD) earned revenue, contract backlog, estimated, or weighted fees to ensure that you allocate revenue properly across the remaining periods.

Revenue forecasting enables you to accurately forecast revenue for each regular project, in order to better understand your revenue in future periods across your organization. Revenue forecasts are only supported for projects with a charge type of regular because you do not earn revenue on those with a charge type of promotional or overhead.

To use revenue forecasting, you must have the Resource Planning module. You must also set the Allocation Method to Use Revenue Forecasts on the Estimated Fee tab in Hubs > Projects > Contract Management.
