Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Combine Units

To combine unit records, use the Key Conversions utility for units.

Warning: Deltek strongly recommends that you create a backup copy of your database before running the utility. There is no way to undo this process without a backup database.

To combine units:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Utilities > Key Conversions > Units.
  2. On the Combine Records tab of the Units form, click + Add Unit below the grid.
  3. In the Existing Unit Number column in the new row, enter or select the existing unit.
  4. In the New Unit Number column, enter or select the new unit to combine with the existing one.
  5. To specify other units to combine, repeat steps 3 and 4.
  6. Select one of the following actions:
    • To run the conversion now, click Run.
    • To schedule the conversion to run at a later time, or on a recurring basis, click Schedule and complete the fields on the Schedule dialog box. The conversion takes effect after the process is completed.
    Other applications that use the affected records are updated automatically.
